Consultation on draft changes to fees 2025

0%

We are consulting on proposed changes to fees in 2025 and 2026.

We are proposing to introduce a two-year fee cycle from September 2025, which would mean that pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy owners would still pay a fee to register each year, but would know how much their annual fee would be for the next year as well. We are seeking views on this two-year fee cycle and on our proposal to increase annual registration fees by 6% in both 2025 and 2026.

The proposals would mean that from September 2025:

  • Pharmacist renewal fees would increase by £17 to £293
  • Pharmacy technician renewal fees would increase by £8 to £138
  • Pharmacy premises renewal fees would increase by £24 to £416

From September 2026:

  • Pharmacist renewal fees would increase by £17 to £310
  • Pharmacy technician renewal fees would increase by £8 to £146
  • Pharmacy premises renewal fees would increase by £25 to £441
